Storm Damage Process and Customer Check List:
At Newfield, we recognize that navigating an insurance loss and committing to a new roof system installation can be daunting and perplexing. At Newfield Roofing, we are committed to guiding you through the entire journey and ensuring a professional installation of a top-tier roofing system.
-
The first step to the process starts with a member of the Newfield team meeting you at your home to perform an initial inspection.
-
If we find storm related damages to your home during our initial inspection, we will advise you to contact your insurance claims department and file a claim. Ask the claims department to send an insurance adjuster out to inspect your home.
-
IMPORTANT: Always ensure a Newfield Roofing representative is present during the adjuster’s initial site visit.
When the adjuster reaches out, immediately inform Newfield Roofing about the scheduled meeting. We will collaborate with the insurance adjuster to assess the damages. Our team consists of trained experts, and we are committed to ensuring a comprehensive and fair assessment.
Subsequent to our preliminary discussion, the adjuster will estimate a “fair market value” for repairing the damage to your property. This valuation will account for increasing labor and material costs, as well as logistics. Newfield Roofing will undertake all tasks outlined in the property loss worksheet, for the sum approved by the insurance provider. Moreover, we will handle any checks that require endorsements from your mortgage institution. With us at your side, all you need to do is relax and watch as our proficient team expertly navigates the insurance procedure and roofing project, with a steadfast focus on client satisfaction.
Do note, as per Texas insurance regulations, contractors cannot act as your representative during insurance claims. Nevertheless, we can collaborate with your insurance adjuster to inspect the damages and ensure that all damaged areas are properly noted during the evaluation.
-
After the inspection by your insurance adjuster, you should receive documentation detailing the identified damages. Upon receiving this, please contact your Newfield Roofing representative. We meticulously go through the paperwork to ensure every item has been appropriately accounted for and compensated. If everything is in order, we’ll set up a meeting to kick off the material selection phase. Should there be discrepancies, we will guide you through your options, ensuring you secure the right “Fair Market Value” pricing you’re entitled to from your insurance company.
-
Once the total claim value is finalized, we’ll convene to sign your replacement contract and finalize your material choices.
PRICE ADVANTAGES
The contract price will always match the sum approved by the insurance company, and will never exceed that amount. Occasionally, Newfield Roofing’s standard pricing may surpass what the insurance company permits. We utilize an independent pricing guideline that establishes industry-standard “fair market value” rates for all U.S. regions, and this is recognized by the majority of insurance companies. If needed, we can submit a supplement to your insurance company, advocating for an adjustment to match the “fair market value.”
You’ll always be informed to your total out-of-pocket expenses before contract signing.
At Newfield Roofing, we shoulder any pricing risks associated with the installation of your new roof or other repairs. This ensures you’re always clear about the financial commitment involved.
-
Newfield Roofing will schedule an install date that works with your schedule. We will install your new roofing system based on the manufactures’s guidelines.
-
Upon completion of the installation, the ACV (Actual Cash Value) and your deductible will be due. We will then forward a final invoice to your insurance company, prompting them to release any recoverable depreciation, as well as any supplemental amounts (should there be any), directly to you.
-
After you’ve obtained your recoverable depreciation and any additional supplemental amounts (if applicable), please contact your Newfield representative to arrange a suitable time for final payment collection. Upon full payment, your file will be forwarded to our warranty processing department. Expect to receive your warranty documents within 2-3 weeks, delivered through US Mail.
